Carrie GOuR
Hey there!
I am an entrepreneur, writer and endless optimist, dedicated to helping you and your business be the most successful it can be.
Prior to Write On Girl I spent more than 20 years as an award-winning TV/Film concept creator, sales writer and producer. Now I work as a freelance writer because obviously, I like to live dangerously. But hey! Now, I can use all that TV and movie-making intel to help YOU! So, WINNING!
What else? I was raised in the Northwest Territories (I graduated high school in Inuvik), so that makes me pretty exotic. I'm also a mother, and that's the opposite of exotic. Waitaminiute: do those two things cancel me out entirely...? Ugh. Math.
I’ve always loved to write. I write for myself to know my own mind, and I can write for you, so others can know yours. Of course, just the parts you want! We’re not talking your whole mind here, because seriously: Nobody wants that.
I do content marketing; I understand the strategy and intention of both inbound and outbound content and know just enough about SEO and Google analytics to be dangerous. But my own blog? It is decidedly something else. I appreciate I "should be" offering tips and tricks on how to write better/get over your fears/write to sound like yourself/etc. but mostly I'm interested in using that space to explore ideas that are curious to me and to support the notion that we're all in this big life-pile together.
Can’t wait to meet you!
